Eye Exam and Consultation
During an eye exam, your doctor will ask you questions about symptoms you are experiencing or concerns you may have. A thorough history will be taken, and hobbies and lifestyle scenarios will also be discussed. This will help our doctors and staff when recommending any treatments or visual correction.
Vision Testing
Regular vision testing and evaluations allow you to always have the clearest vision possible as well as ensuring your eyes remain healthy. Our optometrists provide regular vision acuity testing as part of a comprehensive eye exam. The results of these tests are portrayed as a fraction, with 20/20 being the standard for normal distance and reading vision. Depending on the results of your vision test, our providers may prescribe corrective glasses, contacts, or recommend refractive surgery.
Eye Health
As part of a comprehensive eye exam, our optometrists examines every aspect of the overall health of the eye. Our providers evaluate eye health by visually inspecting the eye and eyelids using magnification. To examine the internal structures of the eye, we may dilate the pupils. Increased eye pressure may be an indicator of glaucoma, so we utilize tonometry to measure eye pressure. After completing these short tests, a doctor reviews the results and discusses any necessary treatment options with you. Contact us at (785) 823-7403 today to schedule a comprehensive eye exam.
