At EyeCare Associates of Salina, we strive to meet all of your eye and vision care needs. Contact lens evaluations and prescription management are provided by our doctors at both our Salina and Lindsborg locations.
After a comprehensive eye and vision evaluation, our providers will discuss the variety of contact lens options with you to select the type that best fits your vision needs and lifestyle. If you suffer from dry eye, allergies, or recurring eye infections, speak with our staff to determine whether contact lenses are right for you.
Evaluation
Prior to prescribing contact lenses, your doctor will both evaluate the health of your eyes and determine your glasses prescription which will then in turn be used to determine your contact lens prescription. Our doctor will then be able to order trials of initial contact lenses or simply pull them from the hundreds of contacts we have in stock!
If this is your first time wearing contact lenses, you will then see our contact lens technician. They will offer hands-on instruction on inserting and removing the contact lenses, tips and tricks on proper handling, and additional information that will help make your introduction to contact lens wear a positive experience!
Contact Lenses
Following your evaluation, our providers work with you to determine which contact lenses are best for your lifestyle. If you suffer from certain conditions, such as dry eye or allergies, certain brands of contact lenses may provide better relief and feel more comfortable.
We typically recommend contact lenses that are replaced daily, as they offer the latest in contact lens advancements such as bifocal/multifocal lenses and tend to be more comfortable and cost effective.
